About Us

L to R – Ed, Rowena and Ian

We are your local Conservative councillors in Coombe Hill ward in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. We are passionate about our local area and the ward we all live in. We stand up for local residents and make sure our area is as good as it can be.

Councillor Rowena Bass has lived in Dickerage Road for over twenty years with her husband and three daughters. Rowena qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London and has extensive experience of both the private and public sectors. Locally she is a primary school Governor, neighbourhood watch coordinator and helps run a busy Girl Guide unit. She is currently the Conservative spokesman for Finance. Rowena’s main priority is to listen to and represent Coombe Hill residents and fight for local issues and help maintain the special nature of Coombe Hill ward.

Councillor Ed Fram has lived in Coombe Hill for over 20 years and attended primary school in the area. He understands and cares passionately about local people and local issues, and has a particular interest in improving health provision. Ed is determined to work on behalf of local residents to increase access to health and social care services and facilitate greater integration between them. As the author of Surrey County Council’s first homelessness health needs report, quality of life disparities and social problems that often disproportionately impact younger people are further areas for concern that he would like to have a positive impact on. Ed is currently the Conservative  spokesman for Adult Social Care.

Councillor Ian George lives in the ward and has lived locally for over 25 years. He is currently in his third term as a Kingston councillor.  Working with local residents, Ian makes sure the council deals with important ‘everyday’ issues, such as badly maintained pavements, potholes in the roads, rubbish on the streets and ensuring there are plenty of trees and quality green areas.  Ian has previously been the lead member for Housing at Kingston Council and is currently the Conservative spokesman for Resident Engagement.
